Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
